I had put out a notice on Instagram that I needed a same sex couple to photograph for an ad in OutSmart Magazine. Being that it’s Texas, I wasn’t sure what kind of response I would get. Luckily, Miranda and Kim found me via a friend of theirs (she had tagged them in my post…so a big thanks to her wherever she may be!). It was so last minute and we were contending with the weather. It had been raining everyday for at least a week, but on this particular tuesday (the day before the ad was due) it let up in time for us to not only have our shoot, but to have it outside. We met up at Bell Park in Houston’s Montrose area for a quick session. Since it was during the week and right after school, they had their daughter with them and we were able to get some fun family shots.
Since this shoot was so last minute and none of us had much time in the way of planning, we worked with what we had and scheduled a “for real” engagment session at Kemah Boardwalk, which you’ll see soon enough! For today I’m just posting some highlights from our very short and fast first meeting.
