One word. YELLOW!
This Carr Mansion wedding shoot was inspired by our beautiful coastal Texas falls with a fun, boho flair. Our planner Anya picked a bright yellow and orange color palette with hints of mauve. I have always been a big fan of yellow, it was one of my own wedding colors after all. But I feel like people are people are intimidated by it and because of that it’s rarely considered for a wedding color scheme. But luckily we had a brave creative team! Everything looked so good set against the greenery and aqua tones of the Carr Mansion.
The enclosed patio in the yard is perfect for an intimate wedding ceremony. The windows let in tons of natural light and open to let in the warm Gulf breeze. The green vine backdrop is beautiful by itself or dressed up. We added a 7ft tall wooden hexagon arch (which you can rent for your own wedding) with florals and pillar candles on stands.
After your ceremony, fill the dining room up with family and friends. The intimate setting is a beautiful way to celebrate over food. Round tables fit four people each, or you can bring in larger rounds or rectangles for other unique arrangements. If any of your tribe has a talent for music, have them play you a tune on the piano that sits in the corner turret in the dining room.
Add a fun treat for your guests (and adorable photo op) with Jo’s Mini Mobile Bar, a vintage Italian piaggio ape serving up fruit sangria, margaritas, wine and beer.
