It isn’t everyday that I get to do a super cool kid shoot. Kids can be notoriously difficult to photograph. But in the rare occasion that a kid gets to play a part, for lack of a better phrase, and become a character they love, photo sessions can actually be a magical thing! Rayne was excited about her Eloise inspired portrait session because she got to dress up and “be a diva” as she put it. Her smart and understated blue dress was the main inspiration for everything that follows.
Partly channeling the adventures of sweet and mischievous six year old Eloise, the little girl that lives in the “room on the tippy-top floor” of the Plaza Hotel in New York City, we mixed in some kid friendly concepts from fashionista magazines like Vogue and Vanity Fair…since she wants to be a fashion designer some day! Quite simply, this shoot illustrates how one little girl makes her way through the big city of Houston, without losing her fashion sense!
