Desmond and Justin are partners in all things. These two amazing men are the founders of M.E.N. Inc., a not for profit dedicated to mentoring, educating and nurturing young men aged 8-25. In addition, Desmond is the Executive Director of the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum in Houston, Texas. It is a position that is close to his heart because one of his family members was a Buffalo Soldier. Since the museum has begun hosting weddings and other special events, Justin can often be found helping Desmond manage and coordinate. The museum is such a part of their lives, it was an easy choice when it came time to book their wedding venue!

To commemorate their upcoming wedding and their family history, they wanted to have some of their engagement photos done on the upper level of the museum which will soon be under construction. They put on stylish, casual suits and we used the exposed brick for a cool urban feeling backdrop. We also took a few photos in the event space were their wedding will be held. The high ceilings and tall windows made for some amazing light! After our time at the museum, we drove down the road to one of Houston’s most beautiful public spaces, Hermann Park, to get some casual photos. The guys took a nice walk hand in hand, kissed in the rose hedges and relaxed on a hilltop as the sun set on a perfect fall evening!
