Carol and Ron are full time RVers and like to spend a few months in Galveston each winter. They love the relaxing pace of the island and enjoy that there is still a wide variety of things to do if boredom sets in. Their time in Galveston each year allows them to prepare for months of adventures ahead as they plan out their stops for spring, summer and fall. It was easy to see how in love they are with RV life as Carol shared stories from their travels. They’ve met lots of cool people along the way and often schedule trips to meet up with new RV friends they meet at various locations across the country. In fact, they were preparing to head to Louisiana soon to do just that!
Honestly, it sounds pretty awesome, but I don’t know if I could pull off RV life because, where would I put all my Disney stuff?! Kinda joking, but sorta not. 😆
This winter while living it up island style, they suggested their adult kids bring their families down to spend some time together before the busy year ahead. Before long, beach houses were rented and the 9 of them were all together enjoying a casual Texas vacation. Since times like this can be difficult to coordinate they decided to book a session to preserve their vacation memories.
We met up in the Sea Isle neighborhood on Galveston’s west end and scoped out a quiet spot on the beach. The light was glowing for this sunset session and while the temps were on the cool side, it was comfortable and a great evening to enjoy the beach. Everyone was so laid back and soaking in the views. Of course all the attention goes straight to the kids with grandparents and uncles spoiling them with attention. I love watching the dynamic in extended families and all the different directions the love flows. We had so much fun walking along the water, letting the kids race and even recreating a photo Carol loved of her kids and their spouses from years ago. At the end of our session I even convinced a few family members to trudge out into the water!
