I am positively stoked to bring you this epic Tangled X Star Wars engagement session. It’s no secret I’m a Disney girl. In my free time I host the Main and Magic Podcast which gives me an outlet to discuss my theme park and film love. I guess you could say I’ve gone full Disney adult. So when Angelica reached out about wanting to incorporate her and fiancé Sebastian’s fandoms, I was so excited to combine my love of photography and Dis-nerdiness.

When choosing the location for this shoot it felt most natural to go with a very natural space. I suggested Brazos Bend State Park because of some easily accessible live oaks which feel very romantic and reminiscent of much of the scenery in the film Tangled. There is also an area at the park that has a thick tree line and a tangle of vines, which gives me some Endor vibes.

Angelica brought along a stuffed Pascal, and a yellow and purple lily encased in a glass dome with twinkle lights that she made specially for their session. Sebastian brought his lightstaff which can split into two individual lightsabers (whaaaattt)!!!!

We had fun letting their fandoms inspire their photos. Some of my favorites are when they are joined together and each holding their weapon of choice. Tangled and Star Wars should not go together, but they absolutely do! This is what makes engagement sessions so special. They are your chance to have fun, take your time, and get creative. We had such a blast and every idea I came up with they were so excited to try.
