I felt so honored and grateful when my good friend Christine asked if I would be interested in second shooting a military wedding. Having done my time in the Navy (along with some of the best people I’ve ever met, including my husband) I jumped at the chance to help capture a fellow Veteran’s special day.
About two weeks before the wedding, I assisted Christine with the Bride’s bridal session, so I was able to spend some time with her before the wedding. We got to chatting and I learned they had been trying to have a wedding for quite some time, but military life is not conducive to making plans. After years of waiting they were finally able to nail down a date. They had decided to plan a small, intimate wedding at Centurion Palace in League City, Texas. It was a gorgeous day full of blue skies, golden sunshine and bridesmaids in deep aqua dresses. That’s a whole lot of my favorite things wrapped into one! With their families by their side and having anxiously awaiting this day, Samantha and Shane finally got hitched!
It was perfect to see this kind, beautiful young lady walking off into the sunset with her Marine. We certainly wish them the best on this Veteran’s Day and all the days ahead.
