Imagine jetting off to the City of Light to elope in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. During The Signature Atelier, Abby and Katherine arranged for us to have a sunrise shoot at the Trocadéro across the Seine from la Tour Eiffel. We arrived before the sun. In fact, the first image I have from this shoot is time stamped 6:01am. Arienne (how gorgeous is that name) and her husband Kevin were our fun, romantic, couple in love.
Imagine sharing a kiss and a dance in the early morning light with the Eiffel Tower as your backdrop, or walking hand in hand as you gaze out at the Seine, meandering its way through Paris. This could be your wedding day!
Photographing anywhere in the vicinity of the Eiffel Tower requires a little creativity. It’s a world icon, in a heavily traveled city, and everyone wants a photo. Your best bet is to arrive early, claim a spot, ignore the crowd and get lost in each other. Let the romantic buzz carry you away.
This shoot was extra special because Katherine specially designed the most luxurious gown for Arienne to wear. The blush number had the most gorgeous lace applique detailing and 39 silk covered buttons up the back. It was the perfect culmination of romantic details, Parisian elegance and sensuous comfort. I’m already dreaming about my own Katherine Bignon gown in a dreamy shade of lavender. With Kevin in a simple blue suit, they were the picture of sophistication.
With so many beautiful locations around the Eiffel Tower and throughout Paris, there isn’t any designated “best spot.” Don’t be afraid to stray from notable locations like Jardins du Trocadéro and Parc du Champ-de-Mars for quieter views from the banks of the Seine. Mix up your day to allow for both experiences. It’ll be a day you never forget…and all your friends will be so jelly!
