This year we hosted our engagement session giveaway on Bibbidi Bobbidi Bride and I’m so glad we did! Since I was going to be traveling to Orlando I thought it would be fun to do the session at Walt Disney World. Last year’s winners had a Disney themed session, so it seemed only a natural to do an actual Disney session! Mardi Gras was fast approaching and I was inspired to do the session at Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort to celebrate! I just needed the right couple!

Enter Hope and Kriselda! You guys!…they got engaged at the Magic Kingdom at Christmastime! How crazy is it that two years in a row I get a couple that got engaged at a Disney Park?! Probably not that crazy…Disney people tend to find each other fairly easily. LOL

Anyway, luck of all luck they had stayed at Port Orleans before and loved the resort AND they were going to be in town the same time as me. We had a match!

When we met at the hotel for our early morning session it was crazy foggy, but I knew it would make for some really unique photos. I was kind of sad to see some major construction going down at the main resort pool, so much so I couldn’t get any photos in that area. So no crazy dragon slide pics. Major bummer, but that didn’t slow us down!

We made our way around the resort chatting about all things Disney. Kriselda shared their proposal story with me in all its nervous detail. We also touched on some other important topics: characters. Kriselda has a soft spot for Lilo and Stitch (as do I). Lilo and Stitch naturally led us into a discussion about where to get the best Dole Whip. Survey says at the Polynesian Resort!

I loved photographing these ladies in such a cool location. Walt Disney World has so many great resort hotels that often get overlooked as potential portrait locations. Luckily this awesome couple totally got what I was trying to do and they were completely on board!
