I realize this might not be the most exciting news for those of you who haven’t met or worked with me yet, but for my past clients and of course, myself, this is a crazy exciting time!

About two weeks ago I signed into my email on a regular tuesday and to what did my wandering eyes appear, but an email from Ragan at Two Bright Lights with the subject heading “Congratulations! You’re a 2015 Editors’ Choice Winner.”

NO WAY!!! So excited!

So what is it and what does it mean? Two Bright Lights is a community to which tens of thousands of photographers, event professionals and print and blog editors belong. If you’ve ever read a wedding blog (like Style Me Pretty) or various other photography, lifestyle and travel inspiration blogs, there’s a high likelihood you’ve read something channeled through the Two Bright Lights community.

The Editors’ Choice Awards honors Two Bright Lights’ members whose talent was continually recognized by top print magazines, blogs and ezines. This award means Degrees North Images was among the top 5% most frequently featured members, from a community made up of over 40,000 photographers and vendors in the wedding, events and portrait photography industries.

It’s kind of a big deal and I definitely did a happy dance! We connected with lots of great editors last year and loved sharing our work with their readers…and showing off our awesome clients in the process! I’m definitely looking forward to an even more inspiring 2015!
